Starting November 1, 2023 residents will notice a more efficient and responsive ambulance system throughout Clark County.

Clark County Ambulance and Marshall Fire Protection District Ambulance in Illinois are joining forces to better serve the needs of residents and visitors.  

Ambulance coverage in the County will improve.  Three stations in Casey, Martinsville, and the City of Marshall will extend coverage.

The plan is to have at least two fully staffed ambulances on duty at Martinsville and Marshall stations 24/7, improving response times.  The Casey station will operate with on-call staff, and the West Union station will transition shortly to providing a quick response vehicle.  

To better serve the community, we are combining resources to enhance cost management and broaden our offerings with comprehensive coverage throughout the County.  The County is also forming an EMS Advisory Board.

With this merger, all EMS personnel will become employees of the County, and ambulances and uniforms will proudly display the Clark County Ambulance logo.

As part of the recent ambulance service merger, the County is hiring an EMS Director, and the current Clark County Coordinator will take on the role of EMS Supervisor.

The Clark County EMS headquarters will be located at the Marshall station.  The County and the ambulance service will continue to provide updates and additional information as appropriate.
