Clark County -EMA |
|
Typically, severe storm and tornado season is the spring and early summer months. Tornadoes can and do strike in Illinois all year around.
Will your children know what to do if they need to protect
themselves in case of severe weather? |
The Clark County EMA would like to invite members of the public to attend an Annual Weather Spotter Update (formerly the Basic Class). This training is open to the public. Time: 6:30 p.m. Date: Tuesday February 26, 2008 Location: Martinsville Fire House The training will be presented by National Weather Service (Lincoln, IL). Weather Spotter numbers are expected to be assigned and mailed to individuals who attend the training.
The State
of Illinois has required all counties to have an EMA agency. Your
Emergency
Management Agency is charged with planning for, coordinating, responding to and recovering
from all disasters, natural or man-made. It is extremely important for all local police,
fire, ambulance and reserve forces to provide the county with an efficient and quick
coordinated response in case of emergency. From tornadoes or severe storms, plane crashes
or explosions, fire, floods - there are a variety of potential emergencies that need to be
planned for.
